Jardin d’Acclimatation

Opened on 6 October 1860, by Napoléon III and Empress Eugénie, garden makes up a charming playground for children. You will find there a variety farm animals, an archery range, a house of mirrors, a miniature-golf course, a narrow-gauge train, a pony ride, a puppet theater, a shooting galleries, a science museum (the Exploradôme), an art museum for children (the Musée en Herbe), and much more. The city hall decided to keep the facilities in their nineteenth-century style. When you are standing there, surrounded with by children running around and enjoying in  the old-school attractions, images from Montmartre painters spring up to mind
