Opened in 1961, the Paris museum of modern art (MaM) is situated in the Palais de Tokyo complex. The museum has a collection of over 8,000 pieces of modern art, many donated to the city of Paris by the artists and their families. The permanent collection provides an overview of art trends at the beginning of the twentieth century. The visitor will discover some of the works of the greatest modern artists such as Pablo Picasso, Juan Gris, Henri Matisse, Alberto Giacometti, Georges Braque and d’Yves Klein.
